Francis Peaks donated the land in memory of his parents and sister. The park is located six miles north of Dover-Foxcroft on the South Cove of Sebec Lake. Camping, swimming, picnicking, and hiking is available. Three modern wash rooms with coin operated hot showers serve the camping area. Campsites are large and well spaced, a trailer dump station is available. The campground normally fills to capacity on Friday and Saturday in July and August.

The phone is staffed Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 3:00PM The day - use area has 50 picnic sites with grills, a lifeguard protected swimming area, playground, and hiking trails. During June, July, and August the day - use area fills to capacity on weekends during good weather. The area occasionally fills on weekdays as well. Once the area fills a waiting line is established. To avoid waiting in line we suggest arriving before 11:00AM . Pets are permitted provided they are leashed at all times. Peaks-Kenny State Park opens May 15th and closes on September 30th.
