In the past few years Southern Piscataquis County has not taken advantage of this economic opportunity while other areas have promoted their regions to the $150 million snowmobile industry. The Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce plans to take the first step in promoting our region by introducing an updated, attractive regional snowmobile map. The Chamber map will be a full color map and will replace the black and white Snowmobile Trail Map of Central Maine that was intruduced in 1995. The new Chamber map will be expensive to produce - estimated costs range between $5000 and $6000 for 5000 maps. In order to cover production costs, a quarter panel ad will be $125. Your ad will be numbered and appear on the back of the map with a numbered location of your business on the trail side of the map. Prominently identifying the location of your business will be a new feature of the map. The Chamber would like to offer your company an opportunity to appear on the front cover of the 2002 snowmobile trail map. The Chamber will be entertaining bids starting at $500 to have your company's ad appearing on the front cover. I will be contacting you in the next weeks to see if you would be willing to participate in the new snowmobile map project. If you have any questions about this project please feel free to call Dennis Lyford at 564-7533. |
