The goal of this event is to give women, who make up a majority of our skiers, an opportunity to learn more about health topics related to their overall wellness in a fun, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere. "We started two years ago with a combination of traditional and alternative approaches to wellness in a one-day event. It was a huge success. The feedback from women strongly favored more information about alternative or complementary healthcare approaches, along with more time to connect with each other and to ski (imagine that!)."

Thus, this year, we are focusing on some of the requested topics: Tai Chi, massage therapy and environmental health + toxins. Especially in this part of rural Maine, there is a need for access to complementary healthcare professionals. This event will give valuable information to women who might otherwise not have access to such options in their pursuit of wellness. Part of the proceeds for the weekend will be donated to WomanCare, a domestic violence intervention and prevention project in Dover-Foxcroft.
