Small Business Workshop to Focus on Postal Service

DOVER-FOXCROFT--Penquis Community Action Program is hosting a free small business workshop on Tuesday, July 9 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Penquis CAP, 50 North Street, Dover-Foxcroft. Pam Beveridge, mailing requirements specialist for the United States Postal Service, Eastern Maine Processing and Distribution Facility, will discuss the new postal rates and mail preparation standards effective June 30, 2002, as well as United States Postal Service products and services available for small businesses.

Beveridge will answer questions and instruct participants on how to choose the best combination of rate/speed of delivery, rate packages using the new rate fold and new zone chart, use the USPS web site, do direct mail advertising and buy, clean and maintain mailing lists.
