7th Annual Fall Festival Auction
Wednesday, August 13, 2003
A small bronze otter titled "On The Rocks," signed, dated and numbered by sculptor Forest Hart, and an autographed copy of Black House by Stephen King, top the growing list of items donated for the Seventh Annual Fall Festival Auction and Awards Night. This popular event, sponsored by Rape Response Services, will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, beginning at 5:30 PM at Jeff's Catering in Brewer. Additional items include a "Kruzer" kayak with life jacket and paddle from Old Town Canoe, a website design and hosting package from Rainstorm Consulting, a large maple mirror from Moosehead Manufacturing, and a "Dreams From Home" large wool rug from Saliba's.

Governor John Baldacci is our honored guest to help celebrate the fifteenth birthday of Rape Response Services. He will assist in presenting the Janet Badger Volunteer Award and a new Teal Ribbon Award. Tickets are $8.00 each or two for $15.00, and can be purchased at the door. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Sue McKay returns as our popular auctioneer. Musical entertainment will be provided once again by "Women with Wings." Charges may be made to Visa, Mastercard or Discover.

Underwriting the cost of the auction are Benefactor: Pine Tree Landfill of Hampden; Sustainers: Bangor Daily News and Veazie Veterinary Clinic (Drs. Chris Miles, David Cloutier, Mark Hanks, Stephanie Monk); Sponsors: WABI-TV and the "Rock Team" of ERA Dawson-Bradford; and many Friends. Fast Forms has donated printing services. Overnight lodging, cruises on the Mount Katahdin, restaurant gift certificates, and lovely handmade pottery and craft items, are just a sample of what has been donated by businesses and friends throughout Piscataquis and Penobscot counties for either the silent or the live auction.
