![]() About the Artists - Syntonic is an established act on the local music scene consisting of seven dynamic performers who decided after their first gig, to remain a band and explore the possibilities of bandhood after forty. They all come from very different musical backgrounds, and share a passion for strong melodic songs to which they can add interesting and intricate harmonies. They consider their role in the Maine music scene one of "restoration and re-interpretation". A typical Syntonic performance will begin with a rousing blues classic like "Fannie Mae" or "Kansas City", melt down a bit into an early sixties pop tune like "To Know Him" or "Love is Strange", then build back up to an energetic finale with full blown harmonies underscoring classic pop songs like "I Call Your Name" and "She's Not There". The band is known for its spontaneous bantering on stage, and is made up of frontman singer / guitarist JT Curran, singer Audrey Noether, Don Mendell on vocals, harp, mando and guitar, singer / bassist Sam Brown, Greenville's own woodcarver / saxophonist Joe Bolf, and songstress Greta Sproul. |
