Mayo Auxiliary hosts Variety Show
Thursday, August 14, 2003
DOVER-FOXCROFT - The Mayo Regional Hospital Auxiliary will stage a community variety show on Friday, Aug. 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the Foxcroft Academy gymnasium.

Admission will be $6 for adults, $4 for students, with all proceeds to help the Auxiliary reach its goal of raising $58,000 to pay the cost of the axial bone densitometer used to test for osteoporosis at the hospital's Imaging Center for Women. The Auxiliary has so far raised $9,500 for the project.

The variety show will feature all types of local talent. Master of Ceremonies will be Tom Lizotte from Mayo Regional Hospital.

Beverages and other refreshments will be for sale.

The Mayo Auxiliary was formed in 1977 to lend support to the hospital's patients and staff, and annually raises approximately $10,000 through fund-raising projects, individual donations and operation of the gift cabinet in the hospital lobby.
