Mayo to remember events of Sept. 11
Thursday, September 05, 2002
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Mayo Regional Hospital will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on our nation in several ways next Wednesday.

The volunteer office will have red, white and blue lapel ribbons available for staff and visitors to wear on that date, and a brief, PowerPoint slide presentation on the events of Sept. 11 will run throughout that day in the Borestone conference room. People are encouraged to take a few moments to view those images.

Mayo will observe a moment of silence at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 11, at approximately the time the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Also at that time, at the hospital flag pole, Mayo's chaplain, Rev. Ken Dale, will lead hospital employees and community members in prayer. The prayer will be held in the hospital lobby in case of rain.
