Darcy Main-Boyington Economic Development Specialist for the Maine Department of Economic Development will be the featured speaker at the Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce Issues & Eggs breakfast meeting at 7 AM Wednesday October 15,2003 at the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Guilford. Ms Boyington topic will be the Pine Tree Zones and other related government programs. Pine Tree Zones is legislature� newest economic development package, it designed to assist in developing the economic of local communities. The program which offer incentive to companies who invest in local communities is one that is model after a similar programs in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Local Piscataquis County officials currently study the possibility of applying to have portion of Piscataquis County included in the Pine Tree Zone Program.
