AUGUSTA, Maine - Monday, October 21 marks the beginning of Maine's first fall archery hunt for Wild turkeys. The season runs from October 21 through November 1, 2002 in WMDs 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26. Anyone who possesses an archery license may purchase a permit to hunt wild turkey during this fall season. Only a bow and arrow may be used to hunt turkeys during this season. Permits are available wherever licenses are sold. Hunters may hunt from 1/2 hour before sunrise until � hour after sunset. |
