The Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce is seeking parade floats from businesses; non-profits and other organizations for the 2nd Annual Lighted Christmas Parade scheduled for 5:30 PM on Saturday December 7th in Dover-Foxcroft Parade Chairperson Jim Macomber announced that the parade will assemble at Morton Ave Elementary School and proceed from Morton Ave on to Summer Street then to North Street on to Main Street and end at Merrick Square. The lighted Holiday Parade will be part of " The Piscataquis Family Christmas Celebration" a region wide event that will include a children art display/live music/and a tree lighting ceremony. A detailed schedule of events will be announced in the coming week Chamber Executive Director Dennis Lyford said that Chamber was encouraged with the results of last year�s parade and excepts a bigger turnout this year. Chairperson Jim Macomber believes that Lighted Christmas parade will soon become a Holiday tradition in the region The Chamber would ask that if your business / organization or group would like to have a float in the Lighted Christmas Parade to please register with the Chamber by December 1st.
