CENTRAL MAINE - There will be beginner and advanced Erosion & Sediment Control Workshops offered by the Department of Environmental Protection this fall. Both day-long sessions will be held at the Piscataquis Regional YMCA on Park Street in Dover-Foxcroft. Basic Session #J0413 will be held on November 20. Advanced Session #J0415 will be held on December 4. Contractors will learn about Maine's new Erosion and Sediment Control law, and how to make more profit on construction projects while protecting the environment. Completion of these workshops qualifies contractors for DEP certification that entitles them to accelerated permitting, discounts on erosion control products from four suppliers and free advertising for their businesses.
