NORTH DEXTER - Friday, April 2, at 7 pm and Saturday, April 3, at 2 pm at Wayside Theatre: Auditions for an 1890's melodrama, "Dirty Work at the Crossroads", directed by Clayton Smith, for an early June production. Description of characters:
Nellie Lovelace: typical lovely heroine, preferably in her 20's (or can play it).
Adam Oakheart: all a hero should be - young, handsome, 20's (or can play it).
Ida Rhinegold: on the "plump"side, middle age, able to sing "old time" songs.
Munro Murgatroyd: the dastardly villain! Tall, dark, handsome - and villainous.
Mookie Maguggins: comic relief, the hired man.
Widow Lovelace: a gentle older lady, soft-spoken.
Mrs. Asterbilt: the daunting dowager, preferably middle aged.
Leonie Asterbilt: "sweet young thing" dominated by daunting mother. Must sing.
Fleurette: the burlesqued, coquettish, French maid. Ooo-la-la!
Little Nell: any age, small stature, childish and "cute". Must sing.
Call 924-8813 for information and to be put on our audition list. Come prepared to sing, your choice of song.
